Most of our members have been here throughout the bond measure construction.

We have a CitizenвЂ™s Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC), who meets quarterly to review the budget and completion of Measure D projects. The cost of construction (labor and supplies) has risen dramatically over the past 7 years, but we plan on completing most of the projects at Morro Bay High and San Luis Obispo High School that we had envisioned. The Pacheco PTA is linked to both the State and National PTA and through this relationship we are a part of a nationwide network working for all children. Volunteers organize many educational events for our children and Pacheco families in an effort to build unity and school spirit. We have turned that $177 million into over $200 million with our efforts. Family involvement is the focus of our PTA activities. Over the past 7 years, the district has been able to supplement the bond funds through state grants, deferred maintenance funds, interest earned on bond funds, and developerвЂ™s fees to expand the revenues available to complete projects. Measure D will transform our campuses and create inspiring learning environments where our students will thrive. The $177 million bond addresses long-standing facility, technology, and infrastructure needs throughout the District, particularly at San Luis Obispo High School and Morro Bay High School. Measure D passed with 72% approval in November 2014. We are in the process of reviewing and revising our Title IX policy and practices, which involves hearing from our stake-holders in order to implement a fair, thorough and impartial Title IX complaint process and COE response.Thank you for investing in the future of our students, our schools and our community! Our Title IX team received training on these new regulations on September 10, 2020, and have made our Title IX trainingavailable online for review. Our County Office of Education and the Title IX Coordinator are aware of and acknowledge the new Title IX regulations released on and effective as of August 14, 2020. Discrimination on the basis of sex can include sexual harassment and sexual violence. RCOE does not discriminate on the basis of sex. Title IX protects all participants in RCOEвЂ™s educational programs and activities, including students, parents, employees, and job applicants. We are fortunate to have highly skilled and dedicated staff, involved parents, beautiful facilities, and a supportive community that all. No person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity operated by RCOE. Monarch Grove is a wonderful elementary school, focused on educating the whole child by providing unique learning opportunities for over 370 Transitional Kindergarten through fifth grade students in Los Osos. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (вЂњTitle IXвЂќ) is a federal law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in all educational programs and activities, including athletic programs.
